Let's just go through the basics:

- Make sure the power connector is secure and clean.
- Uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your card completely.
- Make sure nothing is accidently blocking the card's fan, like a loose wire or something.
- Try defaulting your bios, or just clearing them by taking the battery out and putting it back in a few seconds later (make sure your computer is unplugged). A setting like AGP voltage/speed could be off.

And some extra tips...
- To find out if it is heat, take off the side panel, and place a real fan to low into the case, and open up ya windows etc.
If thats not the problem, Take the card out, give the AGP slot a good clean, go into the bios and do a reset to manufacturer's settings, uninstall drivers, and install the latest ones... 'https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=293' - thats the All In Wonder Drivers located there. And if you want a better tool to remove the ATI drivers, theres a tool specific to the job, just go have a look over at Guru3D.com.
Check in your ATI drivers, that 'overdrive' is disabled... (Not sure which raeon cards have 'em and which dont). - anyhow! good luck!

had nothing to do with the card or my case or fans, my power supply unit (hope that's the right word) wasn't working properly.
bought a new one and now it works.

Location
Fryslân Boppe! The Netherlands
Had the same problems and alot of people with the card has the same problems
they can be fixed quite easily
Make sure you've got the latest drivers then just switch the AGP-speed to 4x instead of 8x
Problem fixed

AGP can be found by right clicking on your desktop > properties > configuration tab > advanced > Smartgart(tm)
( Dutch windows version so the it might be called a little different in certain cases )

But in his case it was the PSU. Problem solved, thread closed =). Good job figuring it out yourself.
