Upon the request of many peoples to post this here I decided to show you my recent work
3 months ago:
Modeled and skinned this guy:

And after seeing so many modelers around I decided to make something unique to see how far max can go. It took me 2 weeks to start to forget about the max extremely low graphic and drive the zoom around actor without pain. The level has 1000m-1000m
2 months of work in secret (100% 3D Studio Max, 90% Paint Shop Pro, 10% Photoshop and a good monitor colors)

Every nifty model are modeled, unwrapped and skinned by me. All of them with the exception of that 47 tank (screenshot 5) that was modeled by ]V[Goten and 30% changed and 100% skinned by me. I don’t take no credit for it.
This level contains more then 1082 models. No 3d design cross more then 2500 poly’s. All the models with the exception of that battleship, have around 4-1500 poly’s max. The battleship has 2492.


finally done now is time to get back on track

Wow that prince of persia is excellent! Will he be put into any game? Just outta curiosity because he is very very awesome. The Sands of Times by far had the coolest looking prince.

I mean, it's not like the models look fantamazing. I can believe he made them.

Hate to say it, but yea, that does seem a bit harsh considering he did post wireframes and renders of each model, and each wire frame was in quads, as you know, most if not all model converters/decompilers/importers import the model into tris. I know the hide edges tool is an easy fix for that, but why even bother wasting your time hiding a rip when the geometry is so simple.

Now, the textures on the other hand do look photo sourced or ripped from another model, which is kinda sleazy. That is easily noticeable by the variation of model/texture quality, if you texture by hand, that usually doesn't occur.

I'd normally agree with you, (especially considering that I don't have battlefield so I no idea what the models look like), but I think we can all agree that SSJGoku is at a certain level of quality with his work at the moment, and I'd say its a little bit of a stretch for him to have prduced this. I'm not saying that he couldn't have, I'm just saying that he either has some hidden abilities in environment modelling, or he has improved quite a bit from when he last posted a few weeks ago, which seems unlikely >_>

You totally hit the nail on the head, but it's not even the quality so much but the consistancy (SP?). Some of the models look rather poor while some are on a totally different level.

They didn't have container-shipping back in ww2.. Container-shipping was first used during the 50's.. Also, what's a trainstation doing at an island (the building = german ww2 era trainstation)..

Half the models aren't scaled properly.. Such as the halftrack on tue fuel depot.. It's smaller than the doorway on the rightside of the building oO

Why is the ship made out of concrete?

There's a motorboat in the barn.. Nothing wrong with that, just that this model has been made during the 60's/70's

As I said on msn focus your attention to your textures and setting. You always provide environments with alot of content which is great to see but now to get to the next level I'd work on setting the scene before filling it.

What I mean is, open up a typin package word / notepad etc and set yourself some guidelines. You could use some restrictions i.e. mood setting, texture sizes, blends etc. All small things which will help your cast of actors fit together in a more believable scenario (ask me about it if you want more I have alot from company/ university doc's).

As far as your POP character is concerned I think I said on msn a while ago you have to watch out for washed out colour values and over saturated hues.

ok as said already a bit harsh! But in response to that and some other suggestions / comments in this thread heres my little rant:-

The games industry does photo source a hell of alot of work. So what if he photo sourced some textures? Its understandable so long as he has liscence to them / are free textures. I also see that atm alot of them need alot of work to fit together in the environment shown.
The same also applies to the models (i.e. 3dcafe, turbosquid), although I'm pretty sure most of them are hand made due to the multitude of maps GokuSSJ has posted before.

My point is stop addressing heavy politics and ruining these forums for the people who actual want to get useful crits here. Your brain washing the forums with arrogance and empty posts(GIR I've pm you about this before).

Well yeah, I modeled a 101st airborne trooper, he could of done a german rifleman etc.

Just thought it would of set the enviroment alot better.

But thats imo.

I would also like to add, how do you know its getting ripped?

Making accusations/threats without arguments/screenshots seems a bit harsh.

HE DIDN'T SAY IT WAS RIPPED

He said provide proof and then it's all good.
I don't believe him either... modeling, unwrapping, and then texturing all of those models would take months to complete... photosource ripped or not... And judging from his previous models, his 'progression' that he posted would have taken months to accomplish at best... and then there is the fact of consistency... the styles of the models are completely different...

and fix PoP's feet please...

You want to say from this that I didn’t modeled a thing from WW2 era?

I worked at this level for [45 days counted] day and night, didn’t had time to model and a soldier char. I really don’t like how you guys trash talk sometimes.

A bit of appreciation for showing this will be enough.

@ Danny – Yeah that will suit the era much better so I will try to find some time to do that.
