<hr>One of the most key features in ESF are Power Struggles. Ever since the Alpha days, Power Struggling has always been an important factor in ESF. Over the past couple of years Power Struggling has improved both gameplay (pumping) and graphic wise (beam heads). Today you will see the brand new evolution of Power Struggles. Dalte, the brand new team member who works on the FX has been working on the Power Struggle graphics for the past few weeks. Though this effect is major <b>WIP</b>, we want you guys to have a taste of what we see ingame. Also, ignore the annoying red circles as they'll be gone soon.<br /><br />

Beautiful.
A shout out to Dalte89 yo.

I'm loving Vegeta's new Gallick Gun Aura and of course the outstanding beamheads.

One suggestion I'd put forth is to make the PS pumping less rigid, say when pumped it doesn't instantly move back and/or forth, but gradually slows down and speeds up based on how much power the player puts into the beam.

It's not really instant, I think there's a missing sprite for the pumping. You used to be able to see the energy you pumped into the beam move up the powerstruggle. Should be like that in the open beta anyway

I see. I hated the old pumping beamhead. It was the same one used for the actual beam. Looking forward to the new one. :)

Yeah, the pumping sprite is currently gone. The head will also be fixed in the future, so excuse the edginess.

But first i need a new Half-Life as i managed to break apart my original by absentmindedly placing it in the toaster ._.
One question, what about the pumping thingy?
Shouldn't it show slight bobs in the beam as it heads to join the main struggle area?
Like, in the galick gun, a small purple blob goes along and joins the main? I can't really see any pumping...maybe i missed something?
But otherwise, schweet!

A tear just came off :cry: ...the light effects and the hand's shadows, they are beautyfull. And I was having a bad day....

looks great, really love the new effects. I wouldnt mind suggesting a minor animation being put in to add to the feel, when they start adding to the powerstruggle (beam pumping? D:) just a small animation plays where the characters move so it looks like they are actually pushing to win the struggle.. only a small effect I know, but right now it seems they stand there bouncing it back and forth without much effort. As with the show, it shows them really struggling to win like they really are pushing the power through the beams.

Also.. can someone explain why goku looks like he is covered in the Plastic Wrap filter from photoshop? :S

That would be closer to perfection, no doubt about that.
