I want to see what it looks like when you're charging up over water.

It is cool :p. Little touches like that are what make a game great. I remember thinking it was so cool when I first transformed as Piccolo above water, water actually floated up to him and rotated around him.
Just reading that..It makes me go kill myself. Also makes everyone(that doesn't have the game) go full retard xD

Goddamn it.

Really?

water physics? or something alike?...

Normally i'm not one to ask for anything but really
i do want like a 10 sec clip of this in action

i want to compare it to the water in bf4. wich is also awesome.
Would be awesome if you're allowed to post a clip of it =S

Yup the ripples doesn't mean physics of water, they can be simple triggers, that triggers a sprite, when an entity is near by/ colliding with water or something like that.

Well its a bit more than a sprite. BUt yea its a 2D effect on the water surface using bumps.

so basicly it's comparable to the water effect elder scrolls oblivion had?
or like bioshock ... wich was a dx10 feature.

didn't know you could achieve that with 2d effects.
Even the lightning reflects in it if i'm correct.

Well as far as i understood , it's creating the bump effect by generated bump map at the spot. Bump maps are 2D things that makes 2d surfaces look like 3D surfaces.

yeah i know what bump mapping is. just didn't know it could reflect lightning.
I used such a mod with prey back in the day and made the game look quite a bit better.
for sure not for something as demanding like fluids.

also considering it's a single core game still

Most FX run on the GPU so single core doesn't matter

Well actually bump maps doesn't reflect, the specular map does, the material of the water remains the same, when the bump is applied.
