He people please can somebody help me.
First i got an error saying missing file meleesounds.sc
than I made a new map called events. And i made a new texst file called meleesounds.sc
And when i tryed to play the game again.
It said error meleesounds.sc missing in server.
And there is more I installed ESF 1.2.3
But it is not in my games list with steam.

PS I have halflive

So please help me :cry:

go to your esf folder. create a folder named "events". enter the folder. create an empty textfile and rename it to meleesounds.sc

I know i did that but the error comes back when i try to create a lan game to play with esf bots i have esf 1.2.3

Then you didnt install it right or you didnt register your halflife. And i downloaded esf 1.2.2 and i allready had mellesound.sc so just download that version and then patch.

I tryed that but when i want to create a lan game the error still comes
here are my install directories
I installed esf 1.2.2 on to D:\Half-Life
then i patched it to 1.2.3
and I created a file called meleesounds.sc into events.
please help I want to play esf.

Im getting that same problem and i dont know how to fix it. none of that is gettin it to work.

turn off windows hiding the file extension when you create the file - I bet it still looks like a text icon.

i did what you sad I turned off windows hiding the file extension when I created the file

here is what you do:
1.)Open the text file
2.)Choose "save as"
3.)in the menu select "all files"
4.)then save the file as meleesounds.sc
5.)if it still looks like a text icon then you did something wrong :p

ok thanxs now its not a texst file but must i delete the other texst file thats still in my events archive becouse the error comes again i still get that error I did what u said but must I turn that hide files onn again damn I have itt almost
