When I create my list on the right-window of the editor and hit Save, my playlist is not saved in playlist.txt - I checked. I used to use ESF Tool and it worked there, but installing it might have messed something up. I just uninstalled it but that doesn't seem to help, so any suggestions?

have you made sure its the relevant folder you saved to? ie, its saved to the steam esf folder, or the won esf folder?

the playlisteditor doesn't need to be in the esf folder ... it'll find the esf folder by itself

as Ness said: if you've got 2 HL folder or Steam and HL (or CS Retail), it'll save in the one it finds first:

1. Steam - half-life\esf\mp3\playlist.txt
2. HL - \esf\mp3\playlist.txt
3. CS - \esf\mp3\playlist.txt

All that seems to be fine... I'm going to try reinstalling.

ok ... I changed it
priority
1. playlist.txt opened (via windows -> open with) with playlisteditor
2. playlist.txt in same folder as the exe you doubleclicked
3. HL installation found (like before)
3.1. Steam --> ESF --> mp3\playlist.txt
3.2. HL --> ESF --> mp3\playlist.txt
3.3. CS --> ESF --> mp3\playlist.txt

PS: if anyone has DoD Retail, please tell me, since I haven't found anyone with it yet ... so I dunno how I'm supposed to find it

shao ... if you want the new playlisteditor, PM me with any messenger, or eMail me ... then I'll send the new one to you

[edit]
sorry ... I just saw that the priority in the release version is
1. HL
2. CS
3. Steam
I was pretty sure that steam was the first one ... just ask for the fixed version
