Photoshop 7 Help!

Hey,

Well I'm tryign to make a character thing like the one for Red sayin (well not liek it my own made up character just somthing like SPiN| Created) you lal know what I'm talking about right? its I guess you could say Redsayin's Mascot

But ok I wanna know if there is a way to make a Grid type thing as my background so I can line it all up properlly. So is this possible? and can someone tell me how to. please and thanks lots!

You want guides?

If so:

Press ctrl + r to get the rulers up.
Then click and hold your mouse on whichever ruler you want, and drag across until you get to where you want.
The blue line will "pull" nearby selections to it when you move them near it, so can be used for accurate placement of lines/selections or whatever.

If you want to make a grid:

Do a new image however large you want the grid to be (10*10 for example)

Press ctrl + a to select the box

goto edit - stroke and choose 1px width

then edit - define pattern.

You can now choose the pattern option from the paintbucket (fill) tool, and select the thumbnail of the square you just made.

Click on the image somewhere :tired:

Great thanks dude! I'll post an image once I get around to making it. I drew him out all ready on paper. So I haveh is design ready but is subject to change...
