I demand someone go buy a copy and see what they said about esf in the review o/. Uhh... Hopefully Funi doesn't get a copy of the mag & shut you down (possibly due to rising popularity maybe?).

We need a scan. But congratulations ESF team, being featured in a magazine is great. Hmmm, seems that the past few months we keep congratulating the team for accomplishments.

Well, I was planning on using my flatmates scanner but she's already moved out, i'll write out the article here until I get access to one.

Earth's Special Forces
On the DVD!

www.esforces.com | Mod For: Half-Life

Andy Robinson grabs his Dragonballs.

There aren't many Dragon Ball Z fans here in the PC ZONE office. In fact, while playing this mod I felt compelled to cover the screen when other members of the team walked by, lest I be ridiculed for the rest of the month at the sight of a bottle-blonde monk screaming on my monitor. Luckily, we can see past the embarassing anime licence and recognise that Earth's Special Forces is indeed bloody good fun.

In a wild departure from the original Half-Life template, ESF has your character flying around a massive arena, shooting energy beams and generally exploding the crap out of any other anime combatants that happen to cruise by. The boffins behind Earth's Special Forces could have left it at that; we would've been perfectly content shooting lightning at spiky-haired McFly rejects. But no, there's a whole other level to the mods combat; once you get up close and personal with an enemy, you'll engage in turn-based melee combat, where grapples, blocks and combos are all possible. It's almost enough to entice us to watch Dragon Ball Z. Almost.

Take it outside.

Green is definately in this season. Head-spikes too.

-------------------------------

I'm gonna go see what ESF content's on the DVD now :O

Edit: Nothing on there...hmmm...
