"Out of date" Cant update

Hi i have this problem when i have installed and can get in the game (ESF) And i wanna join a server it comes out with "Out of date you need to update Half life" And then i update it but when it is preparing to update it says "Error Check you internet connection" and its fine what do i have to do i have tryed restart the computer aroun 3 times
