Oblivion lag...

[what?]

I have an install of Oblivion with Shivering Isles ontop and then "Operation Optimization" ontop of that too.

My machine is a 2x2ghz processor with 2gbs of RAM and an x1600mobility512mb, why would this game still not run well?

I'm running it at 1280*720 with no AA or AF no HDR or Bloom and most other settings off...

I am confused...

I know my computers not awesome but still that seems pretty silly.

Lower the resolution. Might help you a bit. I could run Oblivion without incredible lag on a 2.8 ghz Pentium IV processor, 512 mb ram and an ATI Radeon 9600, although I ran it on the lowest possible specs. I see no reason why your computer should lag. :/

Oh, and if you have like, Firefox in the background, that might suck some of your memory away. Might help? =/ My computer decided to automatically create 700 mb extra ram on my hdd when I played Oblivion. God that lagged.
