Prepare to gasp and faint..........

The Changing Toonami Schedule:

June 30 - July 4th Is
5: Justice League
530: DragoBall Z (more kid buu saga)
6: Cyborg 009 (new show)
630: Rurouni Kenshin (Battles with Shishio)

Starting July 7th Is:
5: Justice League
530: DragonBall Z (after Kid Buu saga is done will go to ep 58 and start)
6: Cyborg 009 (new show)
630: Yu Yu Hakusho (will not restart from the beginning)

And July 12th Is Kenshin's New Day and time (9:30)
So its going to be on once a week kenshin and probably more edits since they tend to make the Satuday programing a "kids programing" (with the exception of some shows)

If they are dropping anything, they should drop Justice League, and go back to showing it when it used to be on. Yu Yu Hakusho is good, Rurouni Kenshin is good, Cyborg 009... it's new, and DBZ will be there of course.

actully DBZ should be the first they drop -_- that "cartoon" is a disgrace to anime and will forever be just a "cartoon"

ecchi pr0n, i couldnt of said it better, brings a tear of sadness to my eye when i see kids dressing up like it and pretending thye can do that junk... theres much more better animes out there that its possible to achieve, kenshins possible, flying and blowing up planets aint, watching people rip eachother apart is, watching one thing blow up a galaxy aint, lol :p

Uh I havent watched CN in like 8 years but I had to step in to defend DBZ. You people dont understand DBZ doesn't attract people like you who like japanese "anime" it attracts those people that like the fighting and good dialouge thats why thats all DBZ is.

You guys dont like it cuz you like japanese anime, while I have seen a little japanese anime (other than the latter)I did not like it at all. DBZ isn't for anime lovers. Simply put.

what good dialogue?

ill say everything dbz says in a couple sentences

"hes stroonger than i am ive got t find a way to beat him"
"ive never sensed a power like this"
"GOHAN!!!"
"u animal!!!"
"hey lets take this to some deserted location that would never exist in real life"

dbz is japanese anime but its like the ass crust of anime

to tell u the truth i think toonami would be good if they did it like adult swim. scratch that people who watch dbz dont deserve to see god anime or anything above mediocre anime

DBZ, especially the last 80ish English episodes has some very quirky sublime humor in it. I was surprised they let some of that stuff slip.

DBZ was great before editing.. CN cut all the funny and gorey parts out as they were too adult which automatically made it a 'kiddy' show. *Swears at FUNimation*

um . . . theres nothing refined in DBZ its basicly has no plot and zero dailouge

happy - bad guys appear - training - you get beat by the badguy - transform/new attack - you win - wish things back with DBs - happy

thats the plot basicly

DBZ is basicly a cartoon, theres nothing good about it, and the fight sc enes are stupid, the english dubs are horrable, and the english edits are worse

True, but still.. it made me laugh some of the scenes in it. At the moment i'm watching 'Kiddy Grade' and 'Rurouni Kenshin' and I must say I like them both.

Btw Ecchi Pron, your name says 'ESF Vetrean' instead of 'ESF Veteran'.. unless you meant vetrean.. in which case forget it.

You people need to understand not everyone believes what you believe. You anime lovers arent the final answer. Its a matter of opinion and your trying to make it fact. There is plot in DBZ there is everything you say there isn't its's just that you dont like it. Thats fine and all but quit telling people that are playing a DBZ game that DBZ sux, its more childish than the cartoon you say it is.

You can't blame Cartoon Network for editing Kenshin or DBZ, what have you. There are restrictions on things that you're allowed to show at 5-6 PM during the weekday, on a channel that serves up stuff like Looney Toons, Scooby-Doo, and the PowerPuff Girls only slightly afterwards and slightly earlier in the day.

Sorry guys, but if Nickolodeon showed "Hey Arnold" at 4 PM, and then at 5 PM decided to give you a viewing of two guys punching the crap out of each other's bloodied, burnt bodies as they cough up blood etc.... well they'd be getting calls, alright?

Cartoon Network actually dares to do something like that, but they had to censor it. 5-6 PM, accessible to all. Parents don't like their kids watching bloody stuff, so they censor it. Many kids watch the channel. Undeniable fact. Disclaimers stop nothing. Parents can be unreasonably overprotective. Undeniable fact.

What pisses *ME* off is how they edit the shows on Adult Swim. I mean, they clearly put it on so that kids would miss it (monday-THURSDAY, 12 pm- 2 am or so.) Granted, there is a lot more blood in those shows, and some slivers of actual bad language (EGADS), but they still make large amounts of blood black instead of red and stupid things like that. But I mean if a parent lets their "poor little child who will run out and kill everybody if he sees to much gore" stay up to 2 AM on a school night, then screw them, I doubt they care if their kid watches some hardcore porn. And god only knows the kid just might, with the crap in this day and age.

The deal with Kenshin is that there are only 90-something episodes (unlike DBZ, which is like 250 or so), and Cartoon Network has shown about 1/3 of it. I think they noticed that the show is actually successful, so obviously they need to milk it and delay it's showing for as long as possible to extend it's run time so they don't need to find another anime immediately to replace it.

They did this once-a-week crap with the Garlic Jr. Saga too. If they showed it on the normal schedule, they'd be going from the end of the Freeza saga to the beginning of the Android saga in about 2 weeks. But because they wanted to extend the extremely short Garlic Jr. Saga, they showed it once a week, and then RERAN it for anybody who missed, making it last like 2 months or thereabout.
