i installed all files where they needed to be and i cant go higher than ssj1 and i still only have 8 of the normal characters plz help also how can i get the 2.0 patch

The only way to get a real code as you call it. Is to buy the game. So either youll have to buy it or youll have to get someone else to buy it for you.

I assume with that you are not willing to get a legal copy of Half-Life? It's below 10 dollars and a very cheap game.
