New WiFi internet in the house, help with xbox live

Sup guys. Just moved into another house and I have a wireless internet set up. The modem from the ISP is in my basement, which is connected to a wireless router. After that the pc's we use have little USB wifi detector cards. They work.

Problem is I'm not sure how to set up my xbox for internet connections. I dont really want to buy any extra routers, or the BS microsoft wifi router.

I was reading that there was a way to plug it in so that if my computer has an internet connection, that I can just run a cable from my computer to the xbox. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to do it or if there was some extra stuff I had to do.

Can anyone give me a hand?

that worked but I have an extremely poor connection in xbox live. hmm.
