New way of Kaioken

Since everyone seems to wait for kaioken to come, maybe it could be done the following way:
It is a transformation of its own. It is accessable at about 1 000 000 pl and has massive KI-drain (and some health drain aswell). Transformation time should be minimal, so that you can transform directly from before-kaioken to ssj (which is after kaioken).

Don't know if you like it. Tell me!

i think they should add a limit break bar and make it a limit break move.

if you kaioken and it drains your ki, what do you mean? it takes a large portion of your ki to transform and then you have to recharge it? So when you kaioken it will use your Ki, but raise your PL? And cost you some health while you use it?

It costs energy (like flying does, but much more) AND health while in use, where the pl is higher.

I think, the ki drain would out weigh the PL gain. Cos it should not be as good as a real transformation, which I think, normally or on average will double your PL (2x). So you should be getting about half your PL again increase from it (1.5x).

The constant ki drain (faster than flying + flying = quite a drain) would have you always recharging ki. PLUS you lose HP. You would only get about one or two melee swoops out of your entire ki pool (faster drain than flying + swoop). And if you used a couple of teleports, probably only one swoop. I think the usage of it would be very limited, maybe to a desperate final melee hit to try to kill someone before they get you.

But in such a scenario, you should have a decent amount of HP to perform kaioken, so really you have less need to use it because you already have the upper hand on your opponent. Catch the drift?

I imagine implementing kaioken more as a glamoury kind of thing. Something to catch your eye and go "wow! wtf was that?!" with a melee combo incorporated into it through the use of limit break moves. The new melee coding should let them incorporate some fancy looking stuff into melee i think.

PS: Also, raising your PL to "finish someone off" isn't a smart thing to do IMO. I'm pretty sure the game is designed so if you have a lower PL you gain more PL for your hits. So if you raise your PL to hit someone, you are actually getting less PL reward for hitting them... I think. I guess only PcJoe or harsens would know for sure.

how bout if you're goku you just have 3 turbo cycles? normal, turbo, kaio kin

3rd drains your health too

or u could just have a ki that binds to keiyo ken and is enabled after u get to a certain pl. not a trans b/c theres no animation for it. but it boosts ur pl by like .5 and it drains ur faster than turbo. it would be good if u could only get 2 or 3 swoops out of it b/c thats how it is in the show

Well it is not totally like that in the show. Remember Goku was using Kaioken then entire fight with Frieza before he went SSJ.

Anyways I do not think Kaioken should be implemented. Goku is strong enough as it is. Not only can his Spirit Bomb take out a whole room of people, but his Kame fully charged can kill someone in one hit, and it only gets strong after going SSJ. I think Kaioken would just unbalance the game in Goku's favor.

Though I believe it could be balanced out, but I do think IF it is going to be implemented that it should drain health. If anything it should drain your Ki pool quicker, because all it really is, is a better version of turbo. Maybe even making an extra button for Goku and Krillin to use Kaioken would be cool (yes Krillin knows Kaioken he was trained by King Kai.). Also you shouldn't be allowed to use it after a transformation. That is only my 2 cents though on if it would be implemented. Though I think it would be more profitable for Krillin compared to Goku.

I think it should just be limited by time.. If you make it drain Ki fast, it would be useless, seeing as you swoop a couple of times and its over, and teleporting would probably instantly waste it. should give the player about 10 seconds to kick some arse and not only PL gain, but a speed increase as well.

Krillen knows kaioken... I dont remember that when did krillen get trained by king kai??

yeah an extra button for kaioken would be the best way to do it, and its just like a better turbo that drains health or is set time limit like phatslugga said. Maybe they could make it so it uses 10 or 15 HP to turn it on, then it stays on for 10 or 15 secs with no additional drain to the Ki pool - you already paid the price in health.

but then again maybe it over balances goku. For krillen it would be ok because he is quite slow before his transformation.
