New Wallpapers (Both 800 and 1024)

I entered these into that (now closed) wallpaper competition and got no comments, so I'm asking here, what do you think of them?

What I like:

The fire effect. It looks good, although it's been done before

What I dislike:

The images: they look pixelly and horrible. Either change them, or try a blur, denoise/despekle or whatever Oo (maybe get better quality pics too)

The lines. They are simply too thick, try reducing them a few pixels. Also they have gaps in them, in the corners

the theme. Ryoko is getting old now

The text effect/font. Don't like the dodge effect on it, or the fading. Plus "the space pirate" is hard to read. The small text down the bottom right looks bad as well. It might be a good idea to get rid of it.

Most of that comment is copied and pasted so I will ignore the best part of it. I agree about the lines, but I did do the wallpapers quickly. I will upload a fix soon. Any other comments?

Also, not much is copied and pasted, but since I saw j00 post it in other forums I frequent, I feel they still apply.

No offense, but doing absolutely everything with Ryoko in it is getting old. The wp is okay, but it's nothing new.

nice but i think it could loose the pic in the upper right. it does ont seem to fit.
