People shouldn't be required validation if they only ask for help with dedicated servers as Steam is not required for running one.

Why would I need Steam if I want to create an ESF dedicated server for people who pay me for it?

He requests support, related to ESF.. Regardless of it being a server.

You didn't answer the question or I don't see the point (if there is one). Why would I need Steam (thus need validation here) if I don't play? Steam isn't required for creating dedicated server.

Ever thought why Steam doesn't require HLDS/SRCDS users to have Steam with game(s) in it?
