Basicly a first try on actuall brushing, c&c?

The color saturation is issue is something I must stress first, you need focus on fading that BG's color intensity.

If you put the image on top, but still have a matching color layer over it, and added some text.

That wouldn't be a bad sig. 5/10

Well I would so recommend a border but some people don't like them for some or other weird reason. Anyway try to get the pic to blend more with the bg

Well ok this is a much betta one...So i give u a tip!
sellect the first ror pic in overlay....Then copy and paste the pic again (that it got a new layer) then set it on Multiply then again Duplicate and past....Then on Screen! And try it out urself! ^^ that will be betta!

Been busy but im back for a while

Anyway the new sigs BG are much better in my opinion but once again the pic doesn't fit well with the BG

use darker colors....go to edit>adjustment>colorbalance...colors better then ctrl + u (thats what i think, u used X_x)

btw, if u use photoshop 7.0 (or 6.0) check my brushing tutorial in my sig...may help ya a bit \o/
