The old chatbox was better, but it's fine.

It is too strong with the dark side of the force, I cannot possibly say it is any then ok.

We love Skyrider though

I like it.

The whole point of me suggesting the new chatbox in the first place (yes, I brought up the idea) was to make IRC active. Thanks to the Beta Applications, the forum has been quite active, especially the chatbox, so I thought it'd be the perfect chance to have the chatbox connect to the ESF IRC channel since it hasn't been getting any attention at all.

I've already made my comment before. I dislike this one compared to the older.

I understand that there were noble motives involved and server strain to consider, but, despite all that, I still liked the chatbox better than working through IRC.

Dislike.

I rarely used it before so it doesn't bother me too much.

Where's the "impartial" option?

Server strain is a valid reason. Wanting IRC to be more popular is not. Sure, it'd be nice if IRC was more popular, but the chatbox was far more convenient for many people

Actually, I originally voted for it, but while IRC was indeed more popular(and I understand Sub's reasoning about that) the activity isn't as much as it was with the chatbox.

As for IRC, why are we still on gamesurge now? From what I understand, we only were in the past because of Greg being an OPer there. Aren't there much more popular gaming servers?

I like IRC more than the old chatbox.

No more 5 second delay lag >.<

No more chats at all, actually. Alright, slight exaggeration, but it's much more inactive compared to the old chatbox. The main reason is that less people will take the time to log on, plus a new person coming in can't see any of the previous conversations and continue off from it. Two guys could have been discussing something on the old chatbox, stopped talking about it 30 minutes ago, and I could come in and pick up from where that conversation left off.

That's just it. First impressions are THE most important, and seeing the type your nickname thing everytime you feel like saying something moderately stupid just for fun.. doesn't seem as fun anymore.

There is no impartial option, this is a polarized political debate, democrats vs republicans, capitalism vs communism, kill or be killed... you get the point.

I liked being able to scroll down to see if anyone was talking. It was a quick and convenient way to check in. I'm not really a fan of logging in all the time, especially since refreshing the page kicks you out.

I do think the IRC layout is better though, but not for what I'd want to use it for.

You can always leave your comment and not vote =D

EDIT: I just noticed the new impartial option. Thanks for ruining my power trip.
