Alright I started on a new Neji model. It's not skinned and has no head, but it will soon!

So far it looks like an excellent model. Polygon count is also good. I also like the presentation of your render. :)

I think I'm more interested about the HL2 part though. Planning on making a mod for the HL2 engine?

looking pretty good there my only thing would be the toes look to much like fingers lol stupid thing I guess but anyhow.... what count are you aiming for when the head is complete?

I'm going to make a 5000 poly version and one that's under 4000 poly's because I am not to sure the exact poly limit for HL2. :D

(Btw, I will fix the toes) :cool:

the exact poly limit of HL2 is 4000 polies, and no, you cant go higher than that, because then XSI wont compile it. The polies have to be triangles too.

head kinda seems big to me. But its really nice. good job. and that could even fit in half life 1:p.

i doubt the Half-life 2 poly limit is 4000 i read an interview with the developers, they say there are no hard-coded poly limits. face crabs are over 3,000 triangles. bit players are 4-5 k. and lead characters hit up to 7 k.

Not to mention some of the models are bump mapped adding more to the model.

NO, Hl poly limit is about 4000, HL2 is most likely aorund 5000-6000. I have seen 4000 poly models in HL. there is no way HL2 has a 4000 poly limit.

and where are the bandages on his righn arm(and leG?)?

Umm, the XSI EXP for compiling HL2 models can only compile unskinned models up to 2000, and skinned models up to 4000 polies in HL2 smd format. Know your game before you mod it.
