lion dude to be honnest modeling is a hard thing to do.

first of all before you decide if your going to go and get into it at all let me say this :
THINK-IT-OVER!
cause once you start you just have to learn it we need more and better modelers ^^

eh? every program has pro and contras, thereis nothing better or worse.

just you will get easier used to lightwave then to 3dsm now. if you would have used gmax i would have told you to use 3dsm.

I'll post some when I get home from school, even though they got no polyflow.

Guess I'll have to try out both, thx for the info guys.

EDIT:
My first model, no polyflow at all:

My 2nd model, still not polyflow but at least not as worst as the 1st one:

Then I screwed around with it alittle:

Then I didn't do any major modeling projects and did small stuff:
http://img293.imageshack.us/slideshow/player.php?id=img293/6350/1165517272cdb.smil (christmass edited models)
This guy is one of the 9 esf pirates movie edited models, I'll probably get back on working on it this summer.
Then screwed around with a cs model.

So... I'm not as good as all of you guys unfortunatly but I wanna be.

I said I screwed around with it, I didn't meant it to be like that.

edit: I'm concerned about what program to use cuz from what I heard all the game design companies use 3D studio max or maybe I'm wrong...

its true, though i asked several peoples aswell about it. and many of them started in lightwave first and when they got their first job, they had like 6 weeks time to get used to another programm you will use in the company.

Its not important what programm u use tbh, its important what you do and how.

A NOob could get 3dsm and do a cylinder an say : SEee!"=!?! I'mA PRoooooo CuZ I donE theT in 3D Sm !!!

what would be damn wrong.

A professional could get the cheapest program (wing3d, gmax, milkshape, blender and so on) and do better work then advanced artist with their usual progs.
