I need help with animating. If you are a talented animator, and you work with 3dsm4, please reply to this topic. I make both player models and view models and i need to learn/need help with animating them. I am not gonna ask again, so this is your chance... :)

(hope lots of people want to animate my models)

1. Animation gets confusing
2. Your sig is not 3D, and maybe never will be, unless you do a rotation on the head.
3. I don't know how to animate, but I know how to set the animations to a model, I don't know how to create one.
4. SONIC, Please, tell me how to create animations`

umm

What do u mean? The hair is in 3d, ive mae it in my 3d program. The rest is just painted there.

That doesn't make it 3D, just cause you made it in a 3d prog, doesn't make it 3D, unless it moves, or something...

maybe this will help

click on that first link mate, its the autodesk tutorials page, its what i learnt to model from, and it also shows basic skinning and keyframe and path animation. a week ago i didnt even know where to start, now ive animated a robot exploding and reassembling just by watching that tutorial and applying the principles. this second link is a MUST HAVE to help with basic character modelling, it helped me no end

I understand now what u meant. Its only half-3d, i would say... :)

Ok, ill try the links, i am just interested in animating my player models with bipeds and bones. Oh, and i need to learn skinning too.

sigh

Oh well, i did what the modeling guy said (at planetquake) and i followed some instructions, but he was using an old version of 3dsm so some of the stuff was quite complicated. Then i didnt understand why i should mirror a box... can someone tell me?
