need help please!! game not working

hallo friends

please help me esf is not working i need help
i have half life 1 i install esf version 1.2.3
i install even the patch and is not working

when i enter the game is enter the orginal menu of the half life game
and when i click on play the game
it says:
problem culd not load library esf/cl_dlls/client.dll

what i need to do for the game work?

You need to have a valid cd key, and you need to be using steam.
Steam can be found at www.steampowered.com - follow the instructions there ("Get steam now" in the top right)

Just to let you notified, if you don't have a legal key. You are unable to make your steam account complete to play the half-life game, and its mods. Which means, you have to buy Half-Life (legal) to get a valid key you can use to play offline & online with steam.

download the full 1.2.3 version of ESF and you shouldn't get that problem.

Also are you using steam? If you're using steam and you get that error it means that you are trying to play a different version than the server you are trying to connect to. Also if you read the manual. It tells you step by step on how to install it into steam.

i dont have the game yet but i do have a valid key and when i try to install ESF (new full version) i cant click the install button...whats wrong? :shocked:

You nead HL installed. To fix that error you nead to run HL once.

OK im new here but heres how u install and play it (ESF).

1,Buy Half life
2, Register the cd key u get with it (****-*****-****)
3,Let steam update it
4,Run Half life
5,Install ESF
6,and now u should be able to play it if not u r a complete no0b.
