After taking a peek at the journal article, it's definitely something interesting. Not quite concrete evidence, but the logic and analysis seem pretty sound.

I see two additional links up top that would serve to supplement the fox source.

He's got a serious journal entry too! FOX's article is a little dramatic, the journal provides some scientific evidence.

Well, it makes sense. The universe isnt infinite but its way larger than we can concieve. Its just simple logic that from millions / trilions of planets it COUNDT have been just the Earth that provides good life conditions.

In fact, scientists even found a planet with earth-like condition but its just too far for us to reach. Chances are there are life forms on that planet imo plus there are zillions of other planets. The chance that in this universe we are alone is , in my fair opinion, slim to none.

The second link is the bio of the professor who is claiming to have found this evidence. The first link is the journal he posted his findings.

If you don't like FOX News, perhaps you'd like one of the following links. The discover magazine link is good.

@Lexis: Scientists have found a few "earth like" planets. The problem is that when they say Earth like, what they usually mean is that the planet is probably rocky, is only 3 or 4 times the mass of the Earth, and if any water is present, wouldn't freeze or boil away. We would not be able to live on any of these planets.

The first one is a dubious looking journal, the second one is some professor's bio..
And the three plus the 400 new links are all saying the same thing. Incredible.

They all quote the same journal article. I may be wrong, but if a journal's website looks like it's made by a twelve year old and I can't find its impact factor, I don't have much trust in its scientific value.

The journal itself is going out of business. It did invite hundreds of other scientists to review his findings, though, so we're going to get a much better idea of how likely his findings are to be true.

Your first clue should have been the whole "publishing results before peer review" thing that he did. Kind of a big no-no.

I publish results all the time without peer review. I take out newspaper ads days in advance of me doing something (anything, really), letting everyone know that I've already succeeded. Do my friends like that I tell them I won a fight they didn't even know we were going to have? No. But you know what? It doesn't matter.

It's called positive thinking.
