Hello again everybody.
When I played on my servers every now and then, I realized that there's gotta be a change in at least some of them. When I was hoping to play versus skiled players and my servers were full of N00b I was often dissapointed and the other way'round I hearded lots of N00b complaiing about some Pro's kicking their asses even though they just wanted to train with people who are equally skilled.
Ok since the development of the Global Stats which most of you probably know by now there has been an idea around which I will try out now.
Everybody listet in the stats Database has a specific amount of points which defines their skill level. Because of this it was possible for us to create a server / DB bridge which allows us to define a minimum and maximum skill level to enter a server that is connected to our database.
In FactI set up three of my servers to act like follows:
Corona-Bytes.NET No N00bs
this servers doesn't allow ESFN00bs anymore
Corona-Bytes.NET N00b Server
this server doesn't allow anyone but N00bs
Corona-Bytes.NET Tournament Pro
and this one is meant for the real skilled players as it is a tournament server and the required skill level has been set to 5000 which means that there are gonna be just Pro's
Now what I would like to hear are C&C maybe suggestions and improvement ideas.
