Help!!!

My game either said this program had peformed a illege opperation and will be shut down or goes back to the desktop!!!

I have played around with the opengl settings but with no sucsess plz help me!

I have version beta 1

do you have the newest hl-patch?
is it a hl-problem or just a esf-problem?
have your tried to reinstall hl and esf?

Yes i have tried drict 3d
no i havnt go the patch
its only Esf that locks up while loading a level

I have also tried re installing it about a trillion times!

have you tried to redownload the esf-installer, perhaps it´s damaged
do you use the newest graficcard-drivers?

same thing happens to me to i have 56k nd cant re-download ESF cuz it takes to long i deno if i have new drivers or watever it is
so how can i fix this w/out dling ESF agen

I have got win Xp so it comes with Directx 8.1 and i just downloaded the things for my card. I have tried it on this computer and my laptop and they both do the same thing. I use Counterstrike (The retail version and it work stand alone) I have put it into Open gl and DirectX 3d but it still didnt work plz help i LOVE this game and i want to play it... I REALLY REALLY don't want to re-download it and have had problem after ploblem with this mod.
