MSN Messenger troubles!

I'm having an odd and very annoying problem with MSN Messenger. When I try to login with my usual Hotmail address and password, it immediately gives an error that the login failed. The password I entered is also for some reason changed into something with 8 symbols when I login. I have already tried changing my password to no avail. I've already reinstalled the program. I have already run AdAware, Microsoft Anti Spyware, CCleaner and Mcafee and it's still happening. Anyone know what the hell is going on? I want to try out whatever is possible to rectify this without having to format my harddrive AGAIN.

If your account works on there then someone hijacked your msn

If not, I have no idea, but MSN is sometimes being a bish

Well, it works with Web Messenger. Now what?

EDIT: I fixed it; the problem was caused by my system clock which I had set to january yesterday in an experiment. Thread can be closed.
