mp3 speed question

Find an audio converter and convert it to a .wav, open it in Microsoft Sound Recorder, increase speed (under 'Effects'), save, convert back to .mp3.

You need to download an MP3 encoding library in order for the program to output MP3s though. (since MP3 is a copyrighted/licensed/blah blah format, and they can't include it with the open-source download of Audacity).
