Moving pics

How do i make a moving picture? Like some people have as avatars or in their sigs. I know that you have to use a .gif file or something, but how can i make one?

You have to animate each frame individually in an animation program like Adobe Imageready.

ok, thanks. Ill have to see if i can find a free alternative... unfortunatley imageready costs $299, and im not that interested in make one

does anyone know a free program that i could make one with? (do NOT suggest i download pirated software ;( )

ImageReady comes bundled with AdobePhotoshop7.0

But that costs about $400 dollars more. I use Adobe, but you can use Jasc PaintShop Pro - I think thats 50$ and you get Animation Shop 3 bundled. Or Download the 30day trial.
