I remeber I used to play at the defualt level...Now I play at 20, anything in the single digits seems insane to me now.

Your mouse must be horrid or your window settings screwed ;/.

I use 20 for all half-life engines as to not screw up anything.

It depends on alot of factors, Mouse, mouse speed, mousepad, settings, etc.

Hell if you have a logitech mx518 like me and set it on 1600dpi speed even standard 3.0 sensetivity is pretty good. I use 8.0 with 1600dpi cause that seems to work for me.

Some people seem to think more is always better but thats not true at all.
Higher mouse sentivity will worsen youre aim. Thats just the way it is.
Ask any pro CS player for example.

I suggest you try and experiment with different settings and see what works for you.

Actually, you'd be surprised how good you suddenly become with higher sensitivities. All of a sudden, side hits will become your specialty.

It's also very dependant on your mouse and settings. For me, 150 sensitivity makes any slight movement, and I really mean slight, a completely spin around.

65.

The less movement for your hand the easier it is to fight.

I've only ever seen you attack from behind, never the side.

Funny, I recall your sensitivity in HL is dependant on what Windows is set at.

Someone with a sens of 4 could be equivilant to that of 60 or 65 or 100.

when referring to side hits we usually mean turning so that the opponent cant made a direct hit so we are able to hit them in their "out of range" spot, just because i happen to be able to teleport beside them and loop around to their back...

ill repeat what zeonix said, he asked for our ingame sensitivity, despite what windows has it set as my ingame sens is 4 and with that it still makes side hits my specialty
