Also you mention high speeds, but as I recall your models are half the size of normal HL models, therefor the speed being half that aswell. In my logic, in swooping mode, it wouldn't be that much more as a normal model would run.
Its 4 times. And you mixed up some stuff.

Reducing the model size increases the speed, not decreases it. Thats why even Counter Strike can be played normally with 300 ping where ESF 1.2 can not.

Whoops, you're right, what I meant was, the distance that has to be traveled is increased.

You should've changed model sizes to normal once you introduced the new map system. Now they look pretty bad from distance.
That could lead to collision detection problems if we wanted to up the speed. This way the game percives the speed as slow to standard while you see it as really fast.

isn't this collision thing already in esf 1.2?
i mean i can smack a few ppl in a row against eachother lol

If you bothered to read the thread, youd find out it was just karrde and the guys having some fun ingame and sharing it with you. Noone said it was a new thing.

raven has been working on collisions...

isn't it fair that i assumed there was something new to this as raven has been working on it?
offcourse it's fun idc ... i just wanted to know what was new to it nothing more...
dev team can have as much fun as they like you don't hear me blame about that.

guess it's just thesame thing you guys showed though it's in final esf this time.
Looks cool yes even the jump effects are nice
sorry for asking if there was anything new to this one as there was only 1 sentence in the post of karde and as far i've
read nothing that said it was just some fun stuff... all i read was about the ping stuff trough the other posts.

Jump FX, Taunts? or just implemented in video, recover fx in the air...
dust while recovering ^^

"chargeable" jump is already in 1.2 the longer you hold the button the higher you go.
I starting to wonder if there will be continious dust while having aura on and firing a beam close to the ground...

Wait a minute i just realised evrything behind the arena was blury... depth of field maybe? =P
