I think we mappers could use a more advanced fgd file, like we want the func_train and such...

Anything else u want? post it here....

ahem with that amazing discovery out of the way i agree the fgd file should be updated cause i do wanna see some more "cewled up" maps :laff:

Im glad u like, But its REALLY needed i REALLY hope this makes it to 1.2...

Or else we r stuck on making more interresting maps... And that would be a real shame... u know?

we need a fake player_entity aka punching bag in the fgd for training maps!!

actually,having both a basic and advanced fgd file would be good,while the people who are just starting are using the basic one,the advanced users are using the advanced fgd file to make teh r0x0ring mapz0rs!

Im all up for this idea :)

Or you could just use BOTH the ESF & Half-Life fgds at once....

I sure would like to see a capsule corp. stage w/ a working gravity chamber (it really trains you!) that would be fun.

Im sorry to bring up this old thread, a friend of mine pointed out a very importent thing that also should be added: We were disqusing viechles in CS and i made a skateboard map once, he wanted skateboards in ESF and i said "No can Do" cuz it isnt coded, and did any of the characters ever ride a skateboard? (Neon said):

This would be posible if u add the same code from Cs it can be done...

That would be really interesting, a cloud func_tracktrain!
I don't know how much it would get used in a fight, but it would be fun!

I like the idea of fun maps like that. I agree that the FGD should be updated.

I mean, there is nothing negative about it, right?

Not a func_tracktrain, but a func_viechle (i know i cant spell) cuz u could move where ever u wanted :D maybe if really go the edge, up and down to.

There is no such thing as func_vehicle in the halflife sdk. If you give me the exact names of HALFLIFE (so no CS) map entities you want to have re-enabled, i could take a look into it.

func_tracktrain! (Then you'd need func_traincontrols and the path_track entities for a train to work)
And trigger_gravity too! (I know it wouldn't do anything to your ki, but it would still be useful to have)
Finally, trains in ESF!
Kintoun races!!! :D
I hope you can do that harSens, that would be really cool.

Well, func_tracktrain lets you control it, just on a path.
Much better than nothing, we can always dream about func_vehicle. :D
