I need some help i have done the pk3. skin for JKA but when i paste it into my base folder i can't even load into JKA

uhm you need someone who knows how to compile a pk3 file for jka, im sure you need special codes as files to let JKA read it. im sorry im not familar with it.

isn't pk3 just a renamed .zip file?? with a few folders in it that jk reads.. :O

not quite... although they can be opened by winzip/winrar etc. you cant compile them with such programs.

you need to get ahold of "pakscape".

also be aware that theres a lot you need to put into the pk3, it needs a very specific structure, but if you google it, you should find out how. alternatively, filefront forums has a jka section which has a massive tutorial sticky.

i use pakscape to pack it up as pk3. but when i load JKA, the program just quits somehow

open up the pk3 and take a screenshot, i wanna see what your doing wrong.

infact thats what i do all the time. pack a new .zip, rename it to pk3. never had any problems with that.
