Model Skeleton Help

In my Previous Thread (titled: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NEED HELP WITH MODELS) I asked how come when I download a 1.2 model off the internet from this website http://esf-world.com/download.php?ordner_id=57 when I used the model whenever I flew I would just stand there without any movements and when I used Melee attacks I would stand there also all of the replies were that it didnt have a Skeleton. Now what exactly is a skeleton and does this mean that it doesnt have a skeleton, this was under one of the model Descriptions I downloaded

ESF BETA 1.2 compatible ( without slice models )
