mIRC help

On mIRC i connect to the esf chat room and it says "#esf Cannot send to channel" every time I try and say anything, can anyone help to fix this? thanks

The channel is moderated, which means anyone below a + or @ wont get to send anything to the channel.

It should be removed when the party begins though.
