i wanna start creating some models
not really for games or anything
just for practise

i was wondering which is easier to learn
3ds max or milkshape3d

i already got 3ds max n ive done a few tuts in it
i just get bored of reading the tuts
i always refer back to them if i get stuck tho

im guessing that milkshape3d is for free
where would i get it from

www.milkshape3d.com and no, its not free. You can get a free trial but it runs out in 20 or 30 days cant member. I would have to say that milkshape is easyer to learn. If your really new at modeling I think you should start out at milkshape.

I prefer for you to use milkshape if you haven't dealt with modeling before. It's a great beginners program *not to put you down or anything, but it's usually what people start off with including myself.*

http://milkshape3d.com
Free to try
$25.00 to buy.

I hope this isn't advertising since i am no way involved with chuumblin *i am aware that i have mispelled the companies name", but if it is, remove the link if neccessary.

Yes, I have forgot about wings. It's what my friend used and his outcome was substansial, although I've never used wings before. If you need any help on 3dsmax, I'm a p.m away.

i really suggest max or lightwave if your really serious about modeling, they may be a little harder to getinto but the end results are way worth it

I'd recommend Milkshape, especially if you're just starting out.

Yea go milkshape. Im way better with 3dmax but i took a break (well, my 3dmax dont work :\) and tryed to start basics with milkshape. I use mesh editing so my milkshape models....look like crap compared to my 3dmax models, BUT it was still a good learning experience. But as soon as you start getting good get the hell out. Milkshape sucks >;o

Ya.. Milkshape is kewl.. even if u put serial.. it still ****s up after the 30days.. so thats when u gota go in the regestry.. and start deleting stuff... but if u dont know what to look for, best not to play in there... but if ur like me, and u like to play with random FIleS! o_0 then go right ahead

little hint.. its only 3 little things to delete :pPPPPPPPPPPP

ofcource?? I never really succeeded.. so I could be wrong.. could be 3000000 things to delete
