Mushroom forest!?

Super Mario RPG was one of the best games of all time. It, along with FF2, FF3, Link to the Past, and Chrono Trigger consumed my childhood.

I'm looking for my Super Mario RPG cartridge... I need to play it again!

I just won't let slip, then, that I made a temporary trade with my buddy - he lent me Super Mario RPG, and I lent him Turtles in Time...we have yet to switch back.

Indeed, it is right up there with Square's other top titles (FF 4 and 6, CT, Secret of Mana, etc.). I especially liked the little bit of FF goodness they stashed away with Culex ^_^

I loved Super Mario RPG. I always wanted a sequel.. People said that the 'Paper Mario' series were sequels--but they never interested me.

Wow. Mario RPG to me is one of the best Nintendo/Square games of all time. Lufia games and Mario RPG are the games that got me into RPGs. So many good memories playing that game. Thanks for posting this.

Oh god, that was so brilliant. I'm so downloading the OST to that game. And now I have to play that over again after I'm done with my Final Fantasy fix for the year, thanks a lot KidBoy!

Hey no problem guys. Im glad I could rekindle the spark. I love that game so much. Everything about this game was brilliant! The music was awesome, the graphics was awesome, the gameplay is awesome.... Everything about it was awesome. Please people, find a way to play this game again and be amazed at what Square could make back in the day.

Emulation is your friend in that area.

Check out the soundtrack here, it's not the OST, so it's not copyrighted.
You need a plugin to play SNES music on Winamp, grab it here.

As far as I know having that is completly legal, otherwise it wouldn't be hosted on Zophar, as nothing illegal like roms are ever posted there. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong moderators.

Mario RPG was that good? o_O

I've tried it once or twice, but it never really sparked my interest. I did love Chrono Trigger, Terranigma etc. I liked Paper Mario 2 as well, pretty funny at times and the unique paper-physics make for interesting gameplay. :p

I thought Super Mario Superstar Saga was Mario RPG's 'sequel'?

Unfortunately it was never released in Australia and my childhood was Mario RPG-less, thats not to say that my young teenage years didn't contain this awesome game as I discovered emulators. Definetly a classic.

Unless Square helps make it, then its not a true Mario RPG sequal.

And yes...Mario RPG is one of my favorite RPGs.....no....one of my favorite GAMES of all time!
