some maps i try top open it gives me a popup saying can not open valve\map name or something. :-(

you sure its not /valve/XXX.wad ?? something like that?
and what map were you trying to open?

i get that on the sphere map something like esf.wad not found in valve directorie

is that what you get.

Thor the sphere map is .... complete ****. The guy who made the map was a complete beginer at mapper. He didnt include the wads to play the maps.
