if you mean proportion wise, just use a dummy human model and copy it next to stuff to get an idea of how big certain stuff is, at the end delete them and make sure your units in program A match the units in program B that'll be game units (unless you're directly working out of program B :p).

I just make it first, then drop it in Hammer when it's finished to see how big it is. You can then adjust its size in a model viewer (here's a good one) by using the "Scale Mesh" and "Scale Bones" buttons and saving the model.
