Making Characters

I just have a question really, I'm pretty good at 3D work, i was just wondering, can you make ESF characters on the program Maya, cause that's what I usually use anyway? if someone could let me know please

if it has an smd import export plugin sure you can

Exactly what Death Revan said, as long as you can export .SMD files. You're fine and should be able to make your own characters.
