My cousin told me it can handle 12,500 polys.. and he does animation for lucas.. so I'm gonna trust him on this one...

lmao, VALVE, the makers of the game, said that it handles an average of 7,500 and you trust your brother more? lol.

Cousin.. but I didn't know valve said it was 7,500. That's still a ****load of poly's to use

man 7,500 POLYS O_O U CAN JUST MAKE HIGH POLY MODELS THAT WOULD REALLY ROCK, I think HL can now handle about 2,500 polys, the goku that mr. smo made was pretty cool and was around 2,500 poly's i guess, so imagine what would happen if he made a model with 7.500 polys O_O, ow and about 20,000 polys that is VERY much, man almost the fastest computer cant handle that easy lol

sigh, lets get this straight k.

HL2 can handle anything from 1 poly to 7500 polies

examples:
- the headcrabs of hl2 (those lil jumpbugs) have round 2500 polies
- some weapon models have round 5000 polies
- player models have a poly count between 6000 and 7000 (7500)

HL2 engine can handle like 9000 polies but it will cost you system performance (fps drops) -> something like hl1 now, hl1 can handle anything around 1500 but when you go higher fps will drop, i mean i bet hl1 can handle like 4000 polies but you will have like 4 fps :p

now, stop with the offtopic stuff and go on with ut forum life

Thank you for getting this straigth oh master S-bolt-- (For those newbies here: its always good to be nice against mods and admins :p)

anyways, any updates on the model?

mystic, i think ur just being a kiss up. w00t i was right, 7500. anyway. that doesnt look much like buu for a high poly model.
