Looking for scary / zombie games!

This genre isn't my forte, so I don't know that many.

RE4 isn't scary though. Except that one part where that Los PLagas guy that's on fire comes flying out of that thing and screams on the Island level.

Honestly, I have no idea. The only Zombie games I can think of are left 4 dead, RE and that zombie panic source game. I wouldn't call any of them scary, though. A lot of people thought F.E.A.R. was scary if you want to try that out

Oh yeah, I actually thought Ravenholm was pretty scary. ;x Good call. I kinda forgot about it, since it's not a large part of the game.

I think most of them are on the PC, I heard RE4 sucks for the PC though.

Even if RE4 isn't that scary, the game is AMAZING.

That's because you can't use your mouse to aim in RE4 for the PC. But there are plenty of mods that add mouse-aim for RE4. You could also try older Resident Evil games for the Playstation. FEAR has a couple of good scare moments plus is an awesome game, give the demo a try. The Silent Hill series off course.

The most awesome horror game ever made is Silent Hill, it also has a great storyline.

- Left 4 Dead will definitely be worth waiting
- Resident Evil 2, 4, (as well as the Gamecube version of 1, and the upcoming 5)
- Project Zero 1 and 2
- I also hear that the latest of Alone in the Dark is awesome.

Yup, I saw. Seems to be a nice game ^_^, but the more the better.

I wouldn't count on them to be as good on the PC though. A good example , Resident Evil 4 by default looks horrible for the Pc, unless you don't patch it up with unofficial patches to make it look as 'good' as it looks on the console. There are, however , many games that do not get that wonderful chance to make it better.

Also, have you thought about getting a ps1/ps2 emulator for these?
I mean, there's nothing illegal in it if you have a genuine copy of the games.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, this game is a couple years old but has got an erie feel to it.

Did you really think Doom 3 was scary? I personally **** my pants more while playing the original HL (the blastpit monster made scary sounds)
