Alright, so I'm looking for game suggestions, specifically the older games up to the N64/PS1 days. I don't care what kind of game, so just fire away your suggestions.
I'm primarily with Nintendo for console gaming so I haven't heard of these remakes.Sid Meier's pirates has been remade on psp and xbox and probablly more
Maj said:If we're counting PS1, then LoK: Soul Reaver, and, if you don't mind something a bit more dated, Blood Omen: LoK.
Additionally:
Star Tropics (NES)
Crystalis (NES)
Super Metroid (SNES)
Castlevania I - III (NES) and IV (SNES) and Bloodlines (Genesis) and SotN (PS1)
Flashback (SNES) - this one can get frustrating, as it's one of those rotoscoped games.
Any Mega Man game that predates X4 (3 being my most recommended; 2 is highly overrated)
Final Fantasy IV and VI (SNES)
Super Mario RPG (SNES)
Super Ghouls and Ghosts (SNES) or Ghouls and Ghosts (Genesis) - Warning: these games are, without a doubt, controller-throwers.
Actraiser 1 and 2 (SNES)
Illusion of Gaia (SNES) - GREAT title from Enix's best days.
Secret of Mana (SNES)
Populous (SNES, PC, a zillion other platforms) - Very dated, but I still find it fun, from time to time.
Bushido Blade 1 and 2 (PS1) - The only fighting games I ever bothered to get good at.
Chrono Trigger and Cross (SNES, PS1 respectively) - Goes without saying.
Turtles 2: The Arcade Game (NES)
TMNT 4: Turtles in Time (SNES)
Pirates of Dark Water (SNES)
Another World/Out of This World (SNES, Genesis, PC) - Another rotoscoped game, but very short and quite fun.
Tell me if you need more
