Final Fantasy 7 series if you haven't played it already. I also hear the Legacy of Kain series is really good.

Holy ****, I had actually forgotten about Glover. That was seriously one of my favorite N64 games, I'll definitely be sure to get that. thanks man.

As for FF7, I've surprisingly never played any of the games in that series. Maybe about 5-10 minutes of FF7, but that's about it. I'm really eager to try out the series.

If you want games like Glover, though, maybe try out Gex? I've only played it once, but it seemed exactly like glover

Alpha Centauri. I know it's a PC game, but I'm pretty sure it was around that era and it's an awesome game from what I remember.
