Little help with GTA SA mod.

I think someone of you know the TV soap "LOST".Well i find i mod for GTA San Andreas that add a big island instead the cities.But at the loading screen after i press NEW GAME the game crash ;(;(;( I was trying to find out what is the problem and i find out that the problem is the file "gta.dat" into "...San Andreas/data".Its a notepad file and the creator of this mod wrote something wrong in it that crash the game.I try something EX. with deleting # before some names and adding new name or deleting old names but it still dont work.

Did you download the "IMG Tool V2" on the page you linked? From what I can tell, what you linked is nothing more than a map modification, so you have to install it differently than placing the files within a directory.

heres what you do
make a backup copy of your data models and movies folders

then copy the ones you get from the download into your san andreas folder and it should work

Did you download the "IMG Tool V2" on the page you linked? From what I can tell, what you linked is nothing more than a map modification, so you have to install it differently than placing the files within a directory.

At the short README on that link it says just to replace the files into my GTA directory.BUt like i told i found out that "gta.dat" is writen wrong i quess.But i dont understand what is writen wrong there.When i add that file from the backup>the orginal from GTA the game start without problem but there is no island becouse of the "gta.dat" file.
And i dont understand how can i use IMG Tool here...????

i know a ****load about gta modding probably too much

what you should do is learn how to edit gta.dat and how to add map peices in easily then you should be able to just take one look at it and know what the problem is
