Ive made up my mind this week after being offered two second hand laptops that didnt do enough for me (had trouble playing avi's ;/ ) ive decided to go out and buy a new one.
With a budget of around £500, ive basically found two that I like, and cannot for the life of me make up my mind which one to buy. If anyone could gimme any advice, it would be VERY appreciated.

1. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/935200
AMD Sempron 2800+
256Kb Cache
512 Mb RAM
40 Gb Hard Drive
DVD ReWriter MultiDrive
15.4" Widescreen Display
Microsoft Wiindows XP Home Edition
Wireless Enabled
128Mb ATi Radeon integrated graphics

2. http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/572_289310.html
Processor speed: 1.8 GHz
Processor: AMD Sempron
Screen size: 15.4 brightwidescreen
Storage: 60 GB
RAM: 512 Mb
Records DVDs: 8x

Yes, i know Pc World is the devil, but this time it looks like a good deal to me.
Thanks in advance.

#1 seems to give you more upfront information about the laptop, while #2 seems to not tell you much at all. That would make me wonder about it's graphical capabilities. Go with number 1.

I'd like to ask before I make a decision for you: Why a laptop? Knowing what the laptop is for will help most of us make better decisions on what you should get.
