Yes, well, that's not really a lot of information we can use. That said, Beta 1.3 was a testing version, and thus, was never meant for playing purposes. It's riddled with bugs, if you want a stable version, try 1.2.3.

When you look for a server join the one that has the lowest "ping". The lower the better.
Every server with a ping lower then +/- 200 will be perfectly playable, but the lower the better

Dont have a clue, maybe he found one that resided in the other part of the world causing his delays

Depends on the lag. Is it FPS related or just delays between the press of a button and the action happening ingame.

There can be many reasons. there were times when updating the GFX drivers caused lag and reverting them to an older version fixed them. There are also chances of resource overuse and the system is running low on free resources that can produce it.

Not everything is hardware related.

Any specific reason why you post in a 4 weeks old thread? Which is (if you can't calculate) almost a whole month. He clearly mentioned it works again.
