I dont understand why the government would do this though, they dont say why in the movie do they? Because im only half way done with it.

They didn't state a reason, they merely stated facts that supported the theory.

9/11 did give them a reason to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. It also boosted Bush's popularity and helped his administrations goals. It is a bit hard to imagine our government being that evil and manipulative though, so I don't know.

People WANTED to go to war after 9/11. The best way to control people is to control them without them knowing. No one cared or wanted to go to war before the towers fell, but everyone wanted to afterwards. It was part of their agenda from the beginning (going to war). That much is true.
