instant transmission is teleporting you dont move at ANY speed you just move from point A to point B instantly BUT you have to know wer it is

and by the way goku does teleport to new namek by himself (sort of)

Your wrong, when Goku arrives on Earth after the battle with Frieza he STATES how fast he can travel and also points out he can cover allot of ground with it.

Wrong you don't, you have to be able to sense someone in the general place you wish to go, and you get "teleported" to the near vicinity of the person with a strong life force.

Thats correct, because Goku couldn't sense the Nameks energy, he needed to be pointed in the general direction first.
