Installation problem

ok i tried downloading ESF about amonth ago, boy do i remember playing the Alpha...and well everytime i try to install ESF Beta it gives me this error at the begining of the installation

"1608: Unable to create InstallDriver instance"

i've redownloading it several times, different places, including fileplanet. I'm running Windows 2000, got enough space. And i know that it ain't my Halflife. All the other mods i got work just fine. I've already updated my installer like y'all said and it still ain't working. Plz help me:cry:

eh ... please don't post double ...

are you sure you've got access to create a folder in you HL directory ???

most error msg explain you what the error is

if he cant create it ... there aren't much possibilities ...
HDD full
no access
foldername too long (not "esf")
maybe folder exists already

and maybe a few others ... i don't know more ...
