Install problem

Ok, you've probably had this topic hundreds of times but when i go to install esf the install button is shaded out, i have hl1 and have run it through steam, i think it is a problem with the file so could anyone tell me what folder to put it in, thank you

Are you using version 1.2.3?
Did you run the Half-Life 1 training course? Sometimes that helps.

well its the full install 1.2.3 (patch), do i have to have a diffrent version first?

There is no "full version patch".
There is the full installer (no patches required)
And there is the patched installer (1.2->1.2.1->1.2.2->1.2.3)

You want the full installer.

Hmm.... I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Basically how this works is:
You get Steam.
You install Half-Life 1 into Steam.
You run Half-Life 1 once.
You run the ESF 1.2.3 full installer.
And you're done!

If you follow those steps you should be all set.

By same account i meen i used his account on gamespace to download the game

That shouldn't cause any problems.

Follow the steps I've given you and you should be good to go .
